About Me

Painting has always been a passion of mine. As a kid, I loved drawing pictures of my pets, trying to get them to look as realistic as possible and painting ornaments with my mom. In college, remembering my grandma was a watercolor artist, I took my first watercolor painting class. I fell in love with the medium and learned many tips and tricks from my professor and personal studying that I used to achieve the aesthetic I was looking for. I hadn't originally thought of pursuing art as a career and was encouraged greatly by my sister who helped me to get my first illustration job. Overall the people in my life have had a profound impact!

Traveling has been very important in my life. I've brought my watercolor paints on hikes because of their portability and have found that the paintings hold special meaning that most photos aren't able to capture. Painting/drawing allows me to focus on details that might be missed at a glance and holding the painting or drawing in your hands has a way of bringing the scene to life. I have loved being given the opportunity to help others capture their special moments with paint and a pencil to be remembered for years to come.

Over the past few years, I have sold custom artwork to clients on Etsy, to people who know me personally or who have found me on social media. I currently have had over 700 sales on Etsy with over 200 five-star reviews. In addition to custom artwork, I've illustrated two books: Flourish, A 365-Day Guided Path Towards Love: How to Experience More Joy, Live with More Intention, and Be True to Yourself  by Allison McCabe Bruce and Grandpa's Place by Lee Sample. Other illustration projects have included artwork for product packaging, album covers, logos and more. I've also participated in craft fairs and art shows such as the BIG little Art Show at the Peninsula School of Art two years in a row and the Good Olde Summertime Art Fair where I won first place for my booth.
